2006 IFC on Hood and exhaust cleaning

I need to know what the codes are for maintenancee or cleaing of the exhaust systems above grills in restaruants and other food entities. what are the specifics about how often they are required to be cleaned and to what extent they should be cleaned. I know and understand the NFPA 96 however, have just heard of IFC
