I have an interview for a job on Monday!!! Hopefully I will get the job. I have faith that I will. The job isn't what I have done as a profession, but the profession I have worked in previously caused a great deal of stress in my life.
Sometimes you need to step back and evaluate yourself, your work, your needs. I am willing to change professions in order to achieve happiness. If you are not happy with your work, you are not happy. Money isn't everything.

Congratulations and good luck. I have worked with disabled children and adults for most of my life. I have made alot of friends and helped alot of people. It can be very rewarding and sometimes very stressful. But I love helping others so it's worth it to me.
I was a Manager in a group home of disabled adults but have been out on disability for over a year now. I still go out to dinner with the ladies about 2 times a month. We have alot of fun.

Congratulations !!
I think it is good, I hope you get the job. I also believe you have to be happy. I left a high stress job about 3 years ago and was amazed how much my stress level has decreased. I am much more content now and enjoy going to work each day, unlike before. It is amazing how much a difference that can make in our lives.
Again, I hope the interview goes well. and whether you get the job or not, it's the right decision to pursue your own contentment.

Congratulation, your decision is good because if you are not enjoying your job thorougly the first thing you should do is to look for other jobs. But not all of them will be lucky enough to get their dream jobs and almost most of them will be doing a job which they were not satisfied. Anyway, you have taken a decision of switching profession and i wish you good luck.

Congratulations!!! I was in your shoes not too long ago..Sick of not working and finally you get that call, and you feel soooo good. "Money isnt everything", if most people had that mentality a higher percentage of the population would be happier with themselves. The job I'm starting..we dont get paid alot but its a nice wage for what i need to live off of, and i enjoy the work I do..Money is not worth the stress.
I hope you get the job, Keep us updated :)

good luck elusive, hope that all goes well with the interview..I myself have been in your situation I work out of my home but am also looking at getting into a whole new division of work that I have never been in before..I am one of these people that know a little about a lot and love to go out and challenge myself with something new, for if you confine yourself to one job you are underestimating yourself...

congratz! I just got hired into my new job! and i love it! i couldnt ask for a better job! I do data entry for ACS, its wonderful! But anyways back to you:)
Good luck at your interview! I am sure they will hire you! Unless your one of those types who just dont care about your interview and shows up in your jammies XD
and i agree, you got to evaluate yourself, work and needs! and yes i think happiness is a big part of your job! If your not happy, then you dread work and would soon refuse to go! then you wont care if you get fired or not...but yea good luck and hopefully its not as stressful as it was...

I hope that you do well on your interview and congratulations on that step alone. Every step we take to better our life is a plus and I agree peace of mind is worth any amount of money.Even my self i am a stay at home mom but i definitely been in a position that was stressful to me. I just really want to involve myself in something that will benefit me and my family and that i actually enjoy doing.
