I only know those from before like do not walk under a ladder as it will cause bad luck. Same goes for breaking a mirror. Care to share any that you know of?

ok the superstition i know involves you giving a coin to a person who just gave you any foot wear gift. e.g shoes, socks, etc... , it is believed that if you dont give a coin to the person. he or she will will step on your ego or both of you will have future conflicts and fights.

Hmmm, the black cat crossing the street to the left, splitting the pole...if someone sweeps your feet...I'm not superstitious but I know of those from friends...

There are a lot actually. I just feel it's nice to have a discussion about what superstitions people from all over the world know of. :) Thanks for your response, and feel free to add more if you remember others :)

In our place there is a very funny superstition which exists and that is that if you eat a banana which were stuck together as one as a whole, you will end up giving birth to twins (you will become either father or mother of twins). There are a lot more funny superstitions still exists and some are really funny and some are scary.

Yeah, I heard about this too, and for the longest time, since I was a child, I avoided eating bananas stuck together. I think as a child I was scared to have twins haha. I ended up eating bananas stuck together when i was pregnant with my firstborn, and when I had my ultrasound done, there was only 1 fetus inside me, haha.

dropping salt on the floor is meant to bring bad luck, I think. On the other hand, stepping on dog mess is supposed to be good luck. Go figure!!!

There are so many crazy ones out there. My hubby falls for them all. I personally don't believe in them. Some of them are, he has to cross out crows or he'll get bad luck, brooms can't fall in front of the door or a stranger will come, forks and knives cannot be crossed or you'll get in a fight...hmmm....that's all I can remember for now. I'll think on it and come back! lol

I, too, myself don't really believe much about superstitions. But the easy ones to follow, I follow, won't hurt anyway, hehe. Yesterday, my husband was just telling me that if someone gives me shoes, I have to give that someone money (just coins though), or else that someone will be "stepping" on me my whole life. Not so sure how true this is, haha, but I seem to be thinking about it all the time, as my mother in law has given me a lot of shoes from past to present, so I'm wondering now if it's connected to her being so rude to me sometimes.
