Patriot Act is a law enforcing act introduced after 9-11 in response to the terrorist attacks against the United States, and dramatically expanded the authority of American law enforcement for the stated purpose of fighting terrorism in the United States and abroad. It gave the autorities to open and read personal mail, e-mails , listen to every phone call, look on the library cards etc.
Do you agree with such a prevention tactics or not? Do you think it should be extended or limited?

It did not give the government the authority to read emails or listen to phone calls. The "wiretapping" program consisted of tracking the phone calls of suspected terrorists, there is no actually recording of the conversation.
We also have to remember that we technically have NO right to privacy, it is not in the Constitution. As long as the information obtained by the Patriot Act is not used in a way that interferes with real rights, like due process, it isn't unconstitutional.
Personally I think its fine. As far as I know, you'd have to be a terrorist or a terrorist supporter to be afraid of it. I think it makes us safer, there have been multiple attacks all over the world that have been foiled because of policies many governments have put in place after 9/11.

Ah yeah, movies, right. I forgot that we should get our credible news and fears from Hollywood, not real life. :$
