These days everyone is either on the internet or watching television or talking on the cordless phone , what would you do with your time if you were to lose all this because of a power outage .
I have seen us lose power because of an outage different times and my kids are completly bored because they can't play any of their computer games or can't talk on the phone because all we have is a cordless .Or can't listen to their steros because we don't have enough batteries .
We have become so accustomed to all that we have that sometimes we lost site of what is important in life . Like family time without all the extra's .

Life without electicity would be difficult, You're right we've all become very accustomed to life with our computers, stereos etc...however, my kids tend to get pretty excited when we lose the power...it's a novelty to them, lol

I'd do a lot of reading, and I suppose it would be by candlelight...

Yes I agree with you, but the electricity is the best thing that was ever invented. And yes we are addict to it, by the way when electricity is cut off I go in the kitchen and start playing Poker with my friends and brothers it really fills the time till the electricity returns and if it goes off at night I just go to sleep hehhe..:0 :)

It depends if my son was awake. he's 3yrs. and I love playing with him. though I probably don't enough. I would play with him and his toys if he were awake and the power went out. If he were asleep I guess I would read or write a letter to family or friends under candle light of course. but I do have a laptop that I try to keep charged just in case the power goes out. So If my son were asleep I may just get on my laptop to play a game offline or orginize my files or clean up my desktop space. I wouldn't be bord though. I jsut had my power go out a week ago and I got on my laptop and played sims2. I then called my electric company and the side everyone on this island's power went out. I can't believe that, I never had that experience before. I live in small town in Ak.
