do you trust all the software of "download.com"

most of the time i download deferent software from
download.com but i got too much trouble from registry
so now a days i give up downloading new software and testing it cause it make me to format my computer
and i lost most of the program.so what do you think i am right or not?using free software is trustworthy or not?

yes i always download a lot of software .
in fact ,many software bring me too many virus ,then i have to use all kinds of ways to delete them ,even format computer disk. well ,i have to learn a lot .
now ,i could avoid lots of softwares with virus, and know more about computer than before.
no setback, no progressive!!

No i never had this problem. I usually download softwares from Download.com....some times it contained virus but my antivirus removed it.Now i run my own site...http://www.downloadsnreviews.blogspot.com . I upload many things in it.

Yes, they always checking first before put that program into download section. download.com is free from spyware and adware I never get problem when using program downloaded from them. I think your computer problem is not coming from download.com might it get harm from other website.

I have downloaded alot from download.com and never have had a problem. I just recently downloaded a paint shop from their and it has helped me alot with my editing and such with photos.

I personally don't trust download.com. Since third parties are allowed to upload software (atleast they were) it allows people to take software that previously was completely adware/spyware free, and put spyware/adware in it. Of course, this was a fairly long time ago, and download.com may have improved their screening. I still prefer to get the applications directly from the homepage of the author/the homepage of the application, though.
