Isn't it amazing? We got married. Finally took the plunge and took our vows. Our daughters were bridesmaids. All our family and friends were so happy for us.
It was a year and a half ago but I just thought I'd like to share this with you all because I'm completely mind boggingly bored out of my tree.:)

When I married my ex-wife back in 91, our first daughter was our flower girl. She has always gotten a big kick out of seeing the videos of her at 9 months old wobbling down the isle tossing flowers. Yes, she was walking at 9 months. She had been walking since she was 8 months. She was copying the other girls in front of her. May your marriage last forever!

That's so cute about your daughter. I think little girls love the dressing up and importance of throwing the flowers and everything. I'm sorry to hear that your relationship didn't last, but I hope that you are all happy now.

Congratulation (a little late)
Were hoping to get married in the next 12-18 months but can't agree on what kind of wedding. My partner is divorced so a church wedding is out (not that I'm complaining) so it a registry one. I want a blessing on Tara hill (by Druids) followed by a relaxed reception like a huge BBQ feast where he wants the hotel thing. I would like a small traditional band for a hour followed by the usual DJ stuff but he nearly had a stroke at this. lol.
So what type of wedding did you have?

Design, that sounds fantastic! It's such a romantic idea. And the BBQ will be a big hit. I@m sure you can both come to some sort of compromise. Maybe the hotel could do a BBQ.
(What sort of outfit should I wear? I don't want to clash with your bridesmaids or anything.)
We had a church wedding and then hotel reception. I had a Disney theme. I enjoyed all the planning so much, but it all flew so fast. I have all the details up on a website so if you'd like to see it let me know and I can pm you.

angela, design is from Ireland. Here, if a catholic wants to have a second church wedding, then they must have their first marriage annulled. This can very often be a very long process. A lot of people forget about it and have a registry office wedding instead.

Just because he'd been divorced doesn't mean the two of you couldn't have a church wedding. My dad and his current wife got married in a church. He'd been married 4 times previously, and she had been married once previously (I think). I just wanted to point out it is possible =)
Since you don't want a church wedding though, I wouldn't bring that up to him anyway =D

Well -- congratulations for a year and a half ago, lolz...
Did you do the sort of traditional church wedding, or did you do something else?
My aunt got married in a marquee in her garden...

Thank you. Yes, we did the traditional church wedding. I had considered a marquee and a friend said that I could put it in their garden but I thought people would have more freedom in the hotel and there would be somewhere for everyone to stay.

Sometimes it is best to wait before taking vows. Often times people jump in too quickly only to find that they really aren't compatible. Congratulations, I wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness. Huggers.

how come you are so bored? I got married just recently too, with our son in tow. He was just 6 months old and it was just him and the 2 of us. We had a great time and I am glad we did not make a fuss. Had I been a few stone lighter I might have opted for the white dress and all of that but I really did not feel confident enough for being looked at by lots of people. Congratulations!

hey congrats. very good that you have decide a good future of yours. How it is going with the couple :) what new things you have learned or what new things you have find in your husband. did you know him a long before marriage or you just marry after a short time you met him? Well if you both have good understanding then you people can live a very long long and happy and chearful life with naughty children :) just care each others and do care and train you children as a good citizen and also try to teach them ethics and to serve parents and do the right and fear no men in the cunning world. A very best of luck to you and your husband. Long live happy life to you people. "BE HAPPY"

Oh I can understand that. Once was enough for me. I'd love to get married again (to the same guy), but without all the planning and stress beforehand.

I found the last year fine. So, we had a couple of small issues and ironed them out. We're learning to live with one another and fitting in with one another's routines. I'll try not to worry about year five. Yikes!
