I love staying late in the night and do some work or watch television. Most of the times it is work. It is much more peaceful at night than the day time. Also i get a sense of satisfaction that i was able to concentrate more. On the other side of it i find guys from my family repeatedly telling me that it is not good to stay late night. Staying late night is the cause of many problems like obesity, increased stress and related problems. I find it hard to decide which one is better. Do u face this problem?how do u deal with it?

I used to stay up really late and found it difficult to get to sleep and earlier than 2am... even if i had an early start the next day... what i found helped was i just went to bed at 12am even if i wasnt tired and just lay in bed until i fell asleep... then i would get up every morning between 7 and 8 and get on with the day and DO NOT TAKE NAPS!!! eventually my body got used to the schedule and I am functioning much better with this schedule and i find i get a lot more done than before... try it out!

Well before I used to stay up all night whether by watching the tube, having some drinking sessions with friends, surfing the net or playing video games. But it is really not healthy if you look at it carefully especially if you do it often. You get stressed out easily, you become irritated, and besides sleep is an important necessity of our body.

I too am a night owl. Have been since I was a child. It was difficult then when I had to get up for school but now, I work around it. I own a business and I find I work better at night and get more done. It is also quieter and I have less family responsibilites at night. I usually am up by 10-11am and stay up until 5-6am the next morning. I work on making my products, paperwork, catch up on household chores, or just read quietly. I have tried getting into a routine about going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. Doesn't work! I am miserable all day long. My family hates it when I try that experiment too.

I like to stay up late to watch Conan O'Brien and all of the good Disney shows that come on late at night. Although, I was really tired last night and missed them all. Hmph. I wouldn't say it's a "problem", though.

there is no doubt that staying late at night will cause minor health problems like headache, but it can be compensated if proper rest is taken during day time.

I have heard differing opinions on this issue. For me i do what is the best suited for me. But i have heard people saying it is better if we sleep in the night than in the late night and get up in the morning than in the afternoon and i also think that is better for ur health!

i love staying late at nights. i dont know why but i hate getting up early . i just cant do it. even if i have exams i complete studying everything at night and then go to bed. this is what i have been practicing since my school days. i get scoldings from my family till today but iam just unable to give it up. even if i try to sleep iam not able to . iam really nocturnal. nice to know that there are people like me. yes its not good for health and i heard that u will also put on weight and i personally feel i have put on weight. but whatever it is, i am not ready to give it up. in other words i just cant.

The fact that I control my own schedule and that I am nocturnal by Nature, allows me to really enjoy being up all night. The daytime is the problem! The noise and traffic is astonishingly disturbing and so many accidents that I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever desire to drive again. The only reason for me to be up during the day is that I might have gotten a special opportunity to persue or something like that... But as for becoming a regular daytimer... You can see by my avatar that I chose the setting sun, it beautiful and peaceful...

I have always been a night owl. I told my mother years ago that when I was born at 1 in the afternoon she should have known then I'd never like to get up early in the mornings. I do not function well getting up earl at all. Stay up all night and view the sunrise, fine and dandy but I won't get up to see it. Let me stay up at night and sleep during the day, then I'm happy.

I think staying up late is fine as long as you get enough sleep. If you stay up late and wake up early, that could lead to health problems, but as long as you get the recommended 8-9 hours of sleep per night, I don't think it's a problem. I am a night owl as well and love staying up late, but if I have to wake up early in the morning I will go to bed earlier. I feel so much more healthy when I get enough sleep! :)
