what will you do if you have a demanding boss? / myLot

i am working at a call center and i have a demanding boss.. we are at a night schedule. one time my son got sick and needed to be brought to the hospital but my boss kept on insisting that i go to work on time.. what ive done is i went to work half-day and my boss penalized me even if i informed the company that i will be going to work half day because i needed to bring my son to the hospital.. did i do the right thing or not?

of course you did the right thing, your son's health is more important then some job in a call center. trust me i work for a call center one time and it is very demanding, so yes ur children come before someone job.
