Okay, i know people who have watched the show think "hey, they should do this myth" or "______ would be a great myth to bust!" i know my husband has and most of the places they get the ideas for myths to bust is from their official forum. If you could decide what myth they tried on myth busters, which one would it be???

One "myth" I would like to see is if shaving cream bottles actually explode. I was reading the warning the other day on a shaving cream bottle and it said that if placed in 120 degree heat or above it would explode. I think it would be cool to see shaving cream going everywhere.

i know they did something about leaving certian bottles in a car while it heats up, but i'm not sure if the shaving cream was a part of that, but thats a good idea, and it would be cool to see something blow up...truly, myth-busters fashion...thanks for the reply =)

One myth i have always been curious about is the myth that you can drive your boat over a spot of land to the other side and still drive the boat. It has been in alot of action movies so you never know if it is possible or impossible.

How about the one about a spraycan of Axe and a lighter used effectively as a flamethrower.

The one myth which Adam & Jamie have most effectively busted, perhaps ironically, may be that people won't watch entertainment shows with science content. Learning can be fun - in fact it should be. How much of you high school science class do you remember? How much of Mythbusters? But does anyone besides me often find the show hilarious?
They bust many myths which I wish I'd thought of just as soon as I hear it mentioned. I can think of a few railroad myths which might be both testable and interesting (beyond getting swept off the platform).
Or perhaps they could send the team "on-location" to look for gators in New York sewers. Might be interesting at least.

I posted this on their website last night (found it online):
If you spray hairspray on dustbunnies and run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.
If you hook a dogleash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a 42 lb. boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape.
It is strong enough, however, to spread paint on all 4 walls of a 20 by 20 foot room.
Brake fluid mixed with Chlorox bleach makes smoke, and lots of it.
A six year old can start a fire with a flint rock even though a 36 year old man says they can only do it in the movies.
A magnifying glass can start a fire even on an overcast day.
A king sized waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2,000 sq ft house 4 inches deep.
No matter how much Jell-o you put in a swimming pool you still can't walk on water.
VCR's do not eject PB&J sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.
The spin cycle on a washing machine will not make earthworms dizzy.
It will however makes cats dizzy.
Cats throw up twice their bodyweight when dizzy.
