If you won the lottery, would you quit your job right away?

it would really depend on how much i won as to what i would do. though as far as i know it does take a while to get your money so id not do anything till then, then i would buy a few things and invest a bit and keep some in the bank and give some to family, friends and charities.
but id try and make sure that my money couldnt just be sucked into a black hole of a spending spree...id want to buy things of value so i could at least live comfortably with my winnings. i guess it would also depend what job i had but id probably leave it to either do volunteer work (if i was that well off) or start some form of business as an investment.

I would pay off mortgage, car loan, and take a nice vacation. After that, I'm not sure.

I think I would keep my job if I won the lottery. Money is not everything but it will make it easier. I can work when I want and take vacations when I want. Besides you can't quit your job right away it takes time for them to get the money to you. What are you going to live on til the money starts coming in.

i would wait until i had the money safely banked . i would wind down my home business and start planning a spa heaven business , i would employ a manager i trusted and liked but i would let her know i,m the boss.then i would buy a house abroad and go there to unwind , i might also think about buying a hotel . i would put money into property and other businesses , then visit my businesses regulaly to make sure they were doing well . that would be my work , overseeing my businesses and making sure nobody got away with slacking .

I wish I could win a lotto.. but never play one be4.
IF.. only IF I win the lotto, I guess I wouldn't quit my job, just because of a lottery. Who knows my luck will run out, and that fortune's already well spend?! :D

I would quit my job, but not right away. I would go to someone who could help me with my personal finances and ask for their opinions on what I should do with my money. I would probably keep working for a while and invest in a few things.

I agree with everyone, I think I would have to have money in hand before I did anything, also would have to have someone manage it. I would rather someone else deal with the IRS.

I think i will enjoy my life as well... and establish my own business as well... And it could give me the chance to serve other people and God as well.
It depends on the rules and condition of the lottery company. I know a certain lottery company that they claim their prize annual. For example, your prize is $1,000,000.00, it will given for you annual for 25 years. I know also a certain lottery in europe they give the lump ammount of the prize.

If I won the lottery.. I couldn't quit my job even if I wanted too.. I'm a housewife. I'd still have a house to look after.. although it would be a much bigger and fancier one than I have now mind you.

I don't think winning the lottery would alter my lifestyle too much. I think if I was much younger it would make a difference, but at this age I am probably too set in my ways to make major changes.
