My friend who is 45 years and divorced has fallen in love with a girl of 27 yrs of age. The relationship is mutual but his colleagues laugh and talk behind him. I find it quite uncomfortable when people talk about his relationship. Is 45 years of age too old for a person to fall in love and why does our society not accept this so maturely.

Hey no age is too old to fall in love. Both 45 and 27 are mature ages. They've seen life and if they choose to eb with each other then they should no matter what people talk. people just need a flavor of the month to talk about and with time this will subside. No point in changing your 'love' patterns because of someone else.

I see youare from India too, I don't think there is anything wrong in loving someone else at any age. come on shahrukh khan is in his forties and still romancing with heroines. lol anyway, I know Indians do make an issue out of nothing. if both of them are comfortable theysbhould get married. My own uncle married quite late in his fifties and he is happy and have a daughter too.

Nothing wrong with age to get love. Everybody deserve to get love. My neighbour who is 60 get married with 45 years old widow. Nothing wrong with that. We have been fall in love before, so we must understand if someone has fallen in love with somebody.

Some people are just on the outside looking in saying ok, shes young he's older but being they don't know what they experience together, they rather assume...If you feel uncomfortable about it speak on it to them and tell them if they going to talk about someone don't do it around you and also tell them how you feel. good luck...stick up for your friend...

it is never too late to fall in love. your colleagues are just envious about happened to him so they laughed at him to hide the envy they are feeling about him. i think love has no boundaries whether the topic is about age. i have just read a discussion here with the same topic like yours. and i have given the same reaction on that. the human society was never really a mature one so few will understand what your friend is going through right now but who cares they love one another and they should be together. what have you done to defend your friend?

hi sunil, this is like saying that a man of 45 does not have feelings ! love is love - so far never been explained fully. it comes when it has to. it comes to those who are fortunate enough. does not matter what others think or laugh. if the 45 and 27 year olds love each other - i think that is all that matters.

No one is too old to fall in love.

You should ask them if they are jealous thatthey aren'tloved by a beautiful young woman. You are never too old to fall in love. I used to work in homes fortheelderly, and it was not uncommon to see people, previously widowed and in their 80's and 90's cuddling and holding hands. I even attended a wedding between a woman 92 and her 87 year old boyfriend.
