I have to face this all the time. Yes, it is my husband. He has this snoring habbit. And he keeps doing for most of the time in the night. I find it very hard to fall asleep unless i make it a point to sleep even before he comes to sleep. Do any of you have this snoring problem and how do u get rid of it.

Well, snoring made me upset sometimes. My father has this snoring problem. We do not sleep in the same room, but still the snoring can be very loud that makes me can't sleep at all. My father doesn't drink, but he's quite fat. If my mum couldn't sleep caused of the snoring, then she'll wake up my father, then my father will change the sleeping position, it can stop snoring for awhile. My husband told me I have slight snoring when I'm very tired, well, I don't really know about it.

My mother has this problem, but, I do not care much about it. When I go to bed I'm usually too tired to take note of it. Anyway, if it happens during the day time, I tell my mother to stay alert. This works fine.

People snore for different reasons but I don't think there is really a cure for it or anything like that. If he isn't getting enough sleep then that could be a reason for snoring. I snore because my tonsuls are way too big. Every doctor who makes me open up and say 'ahhhh' tell me they are really big.

No, but he gets enough sleep. Hope a doctor will be able to find out the reason.

My mom has the same problem too, but I think for more than 20 years of marriage she is used to my dad who is always snoring. I think people snore if they are very exhausted from all the days work or they feel so upset over something. Maybe it is better if you relax first before going to sleep, I mean free your mind from all the worries.

I've got no problem at all when my husband snores. It's like the rythm of the rain to my ears. I get to sleep well.

My partner snores but i'm very fortunate because once i'm asleep i'm mostly oblivious to it, if I happen to wake up a good nudge in the side usually solves the problem. However, my partner also sleepwalks so he'll get up in the middle of the night and do something completely random, like switch the light on, or remove the bedding from the bed and put it in the washing machine. Unfortunately, i'm not oblivious enough to sleep through that and it infuriates me, so he usually gets shouted at. So I can definately sympathise with you.

Wow you are very lucky. Inspite of all that snoring you are able to sleep well. By the way how are you coping with sleep walking. That sounds too dangerous to me.

MY mom has told me she has this problem and she just sleeps on the couch when her husband starts to snore and she can't take it anymore. i know that might not be an option some people would like to do, but its better then not sleeping! Also have you seen the comercial for "the stripper" ? its a little strip you put across your nose and it opens up your nasal passages and helps with snoring. so the comercial says :P

Yes, definitely I cannot get sleep, if hear snoring. So what I do is I sleep first and then after sometime my wife snores I suppose, I will not hear that. She complains that I snore. God knows whether it is common world over. I can make billions if I invent a device where one can sleep, if others are snoring.

Your husband may have very serious disorder called Obstructive Sleep Apnea , or even worse Central Sleep Apnea. This is an absence of breathing while sleeping due to either, the tongue or other tissue in the back of the throat blocking the airway, snoring is a symptom of this. Central Sleep Apnea is lack of the brains ability to conduct breathing from time to time during sleep. He needs to see a Sleep specialist or a Pulmonolgist. That's what I know from my repiratory therapist.
