Writing styles

It is believe that each person have their own writing techniques on paper. Law enforcers has used this fact to dig out culprits in many vandalism cases. But writing is just writing, how can their be such a wide variety of styles?
Have you ever met a person who has the same writing style as you?

I've never met anyone with the same writing style that I have. I believe its as individual as the person. I've lived in the Southwest for the last twenty years but I'm originally from the midwest. When I talk people can tell I'm from somewhere else. Its not just an accent - its the way I phrase things, the slang that I use, and the outlook that I have that comes through. The same is with my writing style.

Everyone has something distinct about their personality. I read somewhere the saying "that as much as we are the same, we are different." True writing reflects the person and each is unique in some way.
