The Belief that divorce equals happiness is utterly false. Cormac Burke, a noted authority on marriage and the family says: If in divorcist socities, up to 50 percent of persons who fail to find happiness in marriage, where are they going to find it? In a second marriage? The statistic say NO. The divorce rate, among divorcees who remarry, is three or four times higher than among those who marry for the first time.
Divorce does not tend to make for happiness. Divorce thens to make for divorce; and divorce always marks the final collapse of a hope for happiness.
