Have you ever been in jail (prison) ?

I have never been in jail, but my wife has. It is a pretty good story, too. When my wife was only 19 and we had just started dating she was driving home late one night. In the USA in many cities some traffic lights are put in a blinking mode. Traffic in one of the directions gets a blinking yellow, the other way a blinking red. On streets where there is substantial traffic, even late at night, the light continues to function normally. These details are important to the story later. While traveling down a street that had blinking yellow after blinking yellow light, my wife got stopped and given a ticket for running a red light. She took the ticket to court and lost. She was ordered to pay a small fine or spend a night in jail. Proclaiming her innocence and refusing the injustice of having to pay the fine, even though I offered to pay it, she spent the night in jail. True story! EPILOGUE: Two funny things about this story happened later. First, that city very much regretted jailing my future wife. She kept a diary of her time in jail and sent most of it to the local paper. They investigated the women's jail as a result. The paper then published an article about the deplorable conditions and the city had to spend a small fortune upgrading the jail. My future wife got a very good laugh about that, but was very very careful not to ever get stopped for anymore traffic offenses in that city. Second, I investigated the ticket circumstances to see how my then girl friend could be convinced she did not run a red light when the police officer insisted she did. I had reason to believe neither was a liar, but both believed they were right. Remember the blinking lights? There was one nomally functioning light in the string of blinking yellows. I'm pretty sure my then girl friend glanced up at the light while it cycled through the yellow, thought it was blinking yellow and ran through it as it turned red. I also think the police knew this happened with some regularity and purposly staked out this light. True story. I hope you enjoyed this story as I need you all to do me a small favor. Do not ever, ever, ever, tell my wife these 2 things: 1) That I still think she really ran the red light (35 yrs later) 2) That I wrote about it on myLot. Thanks.

No. I never ever been in Jail. I hope i wont get in to prison

No I have never been in jail. I have however been taken to the police station in a police car when I was 16 years old! I wasn't arrested though.

The bad thing is, I have. Its a long story and I do not want to go into it. It was almost 3 years ago this happened. Trust me, I so regret what put me there in the first place.
