Easiest or toughest first

Given a situation in which u r given a set of jobs ranging of different difficulty levels....would u start with easiest one first and go on in the ascending order of difficulty level and finally take up the toughest one (or) would u start with the toughest one first and go on in the descending order of difficulty level and finally go for the easiest one???I want ur opinions....

I think if you practically see around you, you find that all persons look for tasks which are either not too easy or too difficult. Its basically a trade off between risk and returns and depends a lot upon the capablities of the person incharge.
So its seldom easiest or toughest task done first. But its something which could give you a safe margin and then your next step depend upon the result you get from your first step.
