I know you guys exist. I'm curious as to what names you've given your bettas, and what kinds of set ups you've put them in. I have two boys right now, Calypso and Poseidon. They started out in 1 gallons but moved up to a split 5 gallon tank. So, tell me about yours.

Oh gosh... I've had so many betta fish. Currently, Spangle is accuping my 10 gallon tank. The betta that had won my heart (that i now have a neopet koi named from) was named Yume. He was the one that cuased me to refurbish the 10 gallon tank and spend about $120 getting it set up for him.
My names have run the gamet though. Vivi, Yume, Sephie, FreyJinZim, Sora, Twiligh and Ceaser. That's just my boys too! Girlies have been named Mog, Sierra, Lucy, Mage, Angel and Avalon.

I have two bettas right now. One is a female, in a ten gallon tank with 2 kuhli loaches. I have a yellow male in a 2.5 gallon tank. He is over 3 years old! Definitely an amaing fish. :) I have had up to 5 females at once, in a colony, but they were hit with a wave of disease and I lost them.

Wow, I haven't seen many yellow males around here, so it sounds like you've got a rare find!

I have 3 bettas in 3 separate tanks..
There's Pug, Quasimodo and Perp. All in their own planted, lit, filtered tanks ranging from 1 gallon to 5. . . They're so beautiful I keep getting more! But must stop already.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm here! (...4 years later. LOL)
My Betta actually belongs to my youngest son (he's 10). I got it for him a couple of days ago. His name is Silver and he is a Delta Tail Betta. He only lives in a 1 gallon (acrylic) tank, but he seems pretty content in it.
I've had other Bettas in the past, but they were always normal males that were either red or dark blue. This is my first Betta that is not only "exotic", but pinkish white in color as well. I have to say that I sure love all the different colors that they come in. They're so cool!
Happy mylotting!
PS So, are you still keeping Bettas these days?

I never did name mine.
We had ours in a couple different aquariums.. We had them by themselves in 2 gallon hexagon tanks with a couple little plants to hide in.
I had mine in a 10 gallon tank with goldfish, neons and mollies.
We started out with one beta and one goldfish. They got really attached to each other. When we had to give the goldfish away (he got too big for my tank) my beta got sooo depressed. We had to get him another friend.
My beta with the mollies and neons seemed perfectly happy. He liked having friends and everyone got along fine.
My son had his beta in a 10 gallon tank with catfish. His beta got HUGE! It ate the flake food with the other fish.
When we get into a house, I want my fish again. I love betas and plan to have one in each tank.
