I think I have a short list.
Endless Love, The Tenth Man, The Color Purple, Cry Freedom, and maybe Without Feathers.
These are not necessarily my favorite books, but ones that I think other people would enjoy immensely.
What books would you give?

Gilead by Marilynne Robinson would be a nice book to give to an old friend. It's very inspiring and you can always read that book again and again.
