First generation -- vaccum tubes were used
second generation -- computers made with transistors
third generation -- Integrated circuits
fourth -- VLSI (very large scale integrated circuits)
fifth -- Super computers

Yes You write all generation corect. But I'll tell for fifth generation that's more integrated circuits (VLSI) in one piece like we have it today in CPU. These days are avaliable duo CPU's. so integrated circuits going to progress each day, but we don't name it by generation name.:)

do you know about fifth generation. i think fifth generation computer would have intellegence. but don't know more detail about fifth generation.

i think the first generation of computer contains
vaccume tubes
second generations contains diode and transistors
third generation contain the pentium 3
the fourth is the one we using. that is pentium four.
but i am wondering what u meant by fifth generation. is it dual core processor?? i dont think it is fifth generation.i think it is the enhanced version of fourth generation

Yes, the pc we use is "Micro Computer" so its from 4th generation, but we should not say thay we are in 4th gen, we actually are in 5th generation, the era of super computers !
