Living in such a third world country is not that easy, I mean, both parents are working in order to sustained their growing family's expenses.
Giving a chance working outside, do you allow one of you to work away from your family?

they did. :) i've not been sending money to help them or anything although i do give dollars to our bank account so in a way i guess i'm adding up to the dollar circulation in manila. someday i'd be able to pay for more than just our household phone bill, and at the moment i'm able to give more, present-wise, to my siblings than before. working abroad has its perks, but it also has its setbacks. homesickness, primarily.

We have a long talk about this thing. I told her that it's a big sacrifice to be working abroad for me or for her. But if cost of living here in the Philippines will get worst then I think it would be wiser if we both go abroad or much better for the whole family to migrate to a much greener pasture.
