how to increase the amount of earning per post

i am in trouble to get my discussions like going boom big i have got jsut 5-8 responses on my discussion i have started. i have been reading about people who have started a discussion and make a buck of just 1 discussion how is that possible and how does my rating go down even if i do answer properly and have good answers?
please people help me with this

Try to start interesting topics, somehow controversial - they may just hit the homepage, gaining more responses from myLot members.
Focus on responding to discussions though, since that is the main source of money. Of course, be as descriptive as you can, in terms of quality.
And set a goal in reaching 500+ mark since you'll be able to upload photos within discussions, another source of money.

You can earn money after your first response.
Earnings are updated once a day, for previous day earnings. Since you're a new member, wait until your earnings are updated, based on the time zone.
