Wedding, engagement, and marriage details

Who pays for what in a wedding? What etiquette rules the wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner etc. What are some details of wedding planning that are often forgotten or not thought about?

Do you have JCPenny where you live? if so register there and they give you a bunch of things, one is a binder with all the wedding details you can think of, lists of who does what and so on. Let me know, if you dont i'll send u a link

In America, the bride and her family normally pays majority of the actual wedding. The groom and his family pays for the rehearsal dinner and maybe the reception (not completely for sure on that one). Since I've never been married, I can't think of any forgotten details.
