why do people afraid to die?what lies ahead?

lately my friends and i are talking about death.. my friends says if they die today they arent ready but most of them said that they are afraid and i dont know why.. me too i am also afraid to die.. death is something that no one could stop if it really hunts you

I guess it is the fear of the unknown, I am not afraid to die but I am a bit scared of how I will die, I have seen so many suffer.

I personally am not afraid to die, but I am afraid of what I will miss when I am gone and I think a lot of us are like that. There are just so many things to live for.

I'm not afraid to die at all...I figure when it's time it's time....I believe in the old saying "no one is promised tomorrow" It's natural and when your time is up it's up...
