death penalty right or wrong?

i am from huntsville, texas also known to many as the "prison town" or "the execution capital of north america" as i read in an article earlier today. we have 12 prisons in walker county and the death penalty is carried out at the walls unit which is only 1 1/2 blocks from the court house. texas holds the record for the most executions each year over any other state in the u.s. and seeing as i was born and raised here it wasn't something that was thought about because it happens so often. from 1982-2005 355 death row inmates have been executed here in huntsville at the walls unit. i am unclear on how i feel about this matter that is why i have decided to do some research for my self. what is your take on it?
