Are home espresso machines just a past fad?

I never use mine anymore. And I had a beautiful set of Italian espresso cups and saucers for sale for a long time that never sold. Do most of you just brew a quick cup or pot of regular at home and then do a Starbucks thing on the way to work?

I dunno what I'd do without mine. I buy the starbucks espresso pods and I can make 12 lattes for the price of 2 grande lattes. It's worth it to have one IMO.
