Does myLot actually provide worthy earnings?

How much time is necessary to provide some good earnings from myLot? Let's say $5/day. How much time per day will that require? I'm trying to figure out if this is worth my time of if I should get a 2nd job. I'm a full time student so 2 jobs might be difficult. This might be feasible if I can actually make some money off of it. Let me know how myLot has worked for you or not worked for you.

While it is fun for me and I do love talking to people it does take hard work. You can't just type a few answers of yes and no. That will never get you any thing. I go on here when my son is napping. I make about .80 a day. I may not be great but I am not doing it for the money. If you are doing it for the money, It would be more proffitable to get a minimum wage job.

I do have a job but I'm a full time student and it's getting very difficult to make ends meet so I'm trying to find some spare change in my extra time.

That's a good idea. I'll try that. My biggest problem is actually getting hired. The employment market isn't so great in my area.

Well if you are wanting to earn like that you need lots of referals that actually participate. And you will have to participate as much as you can stand yourself.I am new as well, but have done may programs online and all of them you have to work hard and get loads of referals.

I think in order to make an income of $5/day through here you would have to spend almost your entire days posting, starting discussions and answering questions. I don't see this as being a replacement to a 2nd part time job. In the end, even if the job would require a lot more time and make life a little more difficult, if you need the extra income to make ends meet, the 2nd job would be the way to go. Mylot is more for run and making a little extra pocket money by chatting with people all over the world.

I'm still trying to figure out how I could make the most out of referals. I.e. How I could refer the most actively participating members.

Friends, I have written empteen number of times that one has to work hard to earn 5$ here in mylot and for that matter anywhere else too.
1. Post qualitative discussions every day
2. Give responses in a responsible way
3. Answer comments
4. Type the text with skill (fast typing)
5. Fill in the tag column with appropriate words related to subject matter.
6. Answer all the responses/comments which is indicated through email.

I have $19 all together and i started on september 25. the first week i posted about 100 responses a day. to make $5 a day, you will have to spend a lot of time on here, posting about 2-300 responses a day.

Wow, that's a lot of time and a lot of responses. Looks like I'm going to working for some pocket change. That's fine though, maybe I'll have enough to semi-finance my Christmas shopping in December.

Yea, this is really just a nickel and dime kinda deal. Earn a few cents on a fun message board, but not enough if you're looking for substantial extra money. If you need cash, you may want a second job. Or like mentioned above, a weekend job if it's possible.

Yeah, it's looking like mylot is just going to add some change to my christmas shopping. Thanks everyone for the replies. It's been very helpful to hear from other people's experiences. Looks like I'll be getting a second job. (there goes the studying...)

YOu canmake $5 with quality postings in 2-3 hours a night. But you have to be a quick typer and make quality posts that are at least 2 sentences long. Even though no one has brought this up, I have a feeling that we do get paid for the amount we type (like they count the characters).

Good point. And I do spend a lot of time on the internet so I might as well get paid for it.

I don't look at it from an earning point of view, I look at it as a way of helping people, but making money at the same time.

I think if you can at least dedicate 4 hours a day you could make $2 a day. That would be about $60 a month. At least you wouldn't have to go out of the house. God Bless

a good amount of time is needed to earn 5$here. I spend around an hour daily and made around 11 cents for past two days.

Sounds like $5/ day may be a bit of an unreasonable dream for me. Well... at least I'll get some pocket change.
