High School Reunion?

I just attended my high school batch's reunion last Dec. 2005. It was fun. It was meant so that we could see old friends again and get to talk to them longer and see what's up with them now. It's not actually a showing off thing of what they are now, it actually helped me too, because through the reunion, I found out that one of my batchmates is now a pediatrician (who I can run to for my kids' health), a banker (who I can deposit through), etc. You can use reunions to your advantage :)

I will be having my 10th year high school reunion this year and Im excited.I get to see the people who i mostly grew up with.High school for me was one of the best years of my life.Yes, there were bullies and risk-takers but its all part of high school.If there is an area in our life when we felt much insecurity, its high school.Nobody was perfect as it is today.

I have attended a lot of reunions.. Starting from school reunions to college reunions. Its not just about showing off or something else.. You get to know about your friends.. your close ones in school and college after you loose contact with them..

Hey, that's a topic I could instantly relate to and felt like contributing to the discussion at once! I have some great memories of my high school years! It's been four years since I passed out from high school and we had a reunion two years back. Two years is not a very long period, and not much had changed then except for the fact that we all had different stories about different people that we had come across, and our different experiences! I'm looking forward to a reunion in the near future. Though we all are pretty aware of each others' whereabouts, thanks to orkut and other communities, it would be really nice meet everyone in person! But the one thought that really excites me, is the thought of a reunion 10-12 years down the line when we'll all have kids and would most probably be at the pinnacle of our careers living a happy life with our respective families! :)

nope... i've never been to a high school reunion.. my friends always set the time, date and place.. but nobody attends! hahaha! =)

i really like high school reunion. last time i go back school with old friend and we had a lot of fun in it.

yes u r right, but i could not attend the school union, though i wanted to....its like a show off thing i guess, many of us want to show how they are successful, and achieved what they wanted to... and to see what others doing and what they hv achieved. STILL CHILDISHNESS HMM?

i go to high school reunion because id like old friends. i want to re-unite with them and have contact with them again. i want to know their stories.

people attending high school reunions as you have pointed out come in mix intentions of all sorts. Is is up to you what is your intention. But the most evident intention is "bragging time" when your batchmate arrive you get to see who is the most successful one,and as far as my own experienced is concern the more successful once are likely to be the bragger, (can't blame them though) but they forgetting the very essence of reunion, so my friends organize two high school reunions most of the time, the general reunion wherein every batchmate or classmate is invited and the more solemn one where the closes of friends within the batch are the once only invited.

i have gone recently to ny high school for reunion it was after 13 years after i left that place. i have gone there not to boast or for vengence but to meet my child hood friends whom i have missed all these years.this type of reunions are very good u feel as though u r back home.

i think, high school is the unforgetable time. So, i will be there.

Its good to attend a high school reunion, though i have not experienced it so far.but i love to meet my school friends because it will bring back the memories of my school life which i miss so much.

i have never been to a high school reunion. i guess its gonna be 5 years this may, but i wont go even if there is a reunion. i really have no desire to see anyone from high school because they were all fake. i feel like anyone who really mattered is still friends with me today. otherwise, i dont really need to go back to find out how anyone else's life is going.

well i attended my high school reunion and like there nobody in there that i remember they all getting old or like they all have familys to take care. some of half of them i don't even know who they are so i left early..

We had our first high school reunion about 3 years ago, which I was unable to attend because my husband and I were making rounds on our relatives. It would have been fun catching up with my friends, though. These are the kinds occasions when we should all go and attend, to reminisce about old times and continue friendships.
