Golden ratio is denoted by phi (greek letter),it represents the value, when the condition is like this, if there are 2 nos, say A n B, and BA , then if ,the ratio of sum of the 2 nos. to the larger no. is equal to the ratio of the larger no to smaller no. ,then its value is called golden ratio. In our example, (A+B)/B =B/A = phi (Golden ratio) It is used in building and architecture i guess, it has got something to do with beauty,i.e if anything is in accordance with the golden ratio then its beautiful. So, if ur face dimenssions or ur teeth dimmensions are in accordance to golden ratio then u are more beautiful than other, i guess. Dont know the exact reason but ,things with dimmensions close to golden ratio looks more beautiful,so ppl. who do dental surgury or something to their face the get it done in golden ratio(saw this long time back in discovery or nat geo, not very sure.)
