i have worked on win 95, win 98, win xp and a version of linux however used linux only for one day(couldn't understand it)
And the best amongst them is no doubt win xp(however still it has alot of bugs in it) and every other month there is some virus released for win xp! :(

I already used several OS like Win98, Win2000, Win2003, WinXP, Reddhat, Whitebox Linux, Mandriva2006, Ubuntu, Mandrake, Debian and Suse.
In window base OS.. operation are quite similar to each other. In Linux, some scripts are not working in other platform especially when your always in the command line interface.
Its really a hard work to work with all this OS in just one work. But gives me a lot of technical experience.

I have worked with Windows 98,2000, XP and Linux.
Windows 98 is very safe from virus attacks. XP is the best according to me . User interface is excellent in XP. I have worked with Linux for VLSI Simulation. Linux is wonderful to use . I loved to work with it! I am looking forward to how the Windows Vista works !
Cheers

I've used a lot of Operating Systems for Industrial and personal use. These are what I've used throughout the years.
Microsoft(all versions, from MS-DOS to Windows XP)
Darwin
Solaris
Linux
BSD Platforms from Free, Net to Open.
MAC OSX
and a whole lot of others you probably don't know yet.
Of course for the average user the most stable for me are XP and Jaguar.
