MisImpressions I hate about Pinoys Abroad

Some countrymen back in the Philippines think that just because we're now living abroad, we're 'rich' and they're entitled to request for goodies or the occasional loan. Or the misimpression that earning a living here is somehow 'easier'. I just wish they'd be thoughtful enough to know that it is difficult for us too, and oftentimes lonely- to be living in a new place with a different culture.

I guess the reason why people here in the Philippines think Filipinos in the States are richer is the peso to dollar conversion rate. Yes it's true that life in the States is not easier than most people here think but the fact that the economy there is far better than ours is already an obvious factor. If a Filipino that's been working in the States would suddenly visit his homeland, he'll find out that even the smallest amount of money that he brings would already give him a very extravagant and wonderful vacation package.

They've somewhat self-proclaimed that it is easier to get richer and all when you're abroad. It ain't.
Earning is never easy for anyone. Never was. Never is. But will someday be. :)
