How long do you wait?

I have a few friends in my friend list that have not logged in for a few weeks. I was wondering how long some of you wait before you delete them from your friend list. I sometimes takes trips that are a few weeks long so I don't want to delete someone if they are just away for awhile but I do want to clean up my friend list.

I have people that are no longer active, but once were. If they were actively participating in discussions I leave them in my list.

Do you think you'll ever delete some of the inactive ones. And if so how long would you wait?

I will wait about a month. If they are people that I felt that I have made a connection with, I will send them a private message. If they do not respond within a month, I delete them.

I go through and delete everyone that has not logged in for a month. That way I can get new ones that are more responsive.

That seems to bee the consensus. I figure that if they haven't at least logged in to mylot in that length of time they have probably decided not to continue doing mylot.

I wait for about a month. Sometimes I don't do it for awhile. Sometimes I just close my eyes and do a clean.

Yes I deleted one just yesterday. It had been a month since they had logged into mylot. that seems to be the consensu for the time to delete inactive members from friend lists.

So far the friends on my list seem to ask intelligent questions. So I haven't deleted any for repeated stupid questions. I have recently deleted a couple that have not logged in in over a month. I'll have to go back thru and check again its been a few weeks and I know there was at least one that hadn't logged in for almost a month. I feel it helps me stay in better contact with those who active and I don't have to waste time checking inactive people.

I'm trying to do my best not to have anyone erase me from their list.My goal is to at least answer one of their discussios everyday, my list of friends grew up a lot last night.

As long I see that you signed in and use mylot I won't erase you from my friend list whether you answer any of my discussions or not. I just have friends a few that have not even signed into mylot for several weeks now and I was wondering what everyone thought about deleting those ones.

I dont think that you should delete them. If they have not logged, so what .....I mean they(mylot) dont charge you friendlist. But sometimes it becomes frustating and you have to delete them under certain conditions....like posting stupid discussions, Senseless responses and some guys are really annoying.....

Well I use my friend list not just to get friends but to quickly see what discussions they have posted recently that I haven't responded to. I think it makes it easier to do this if I delete the ones that are inactive so I can respond qickly to those who are active. After you get so many friends in your list it is a major job just to try to respond to those who are actively participateing so any thing that helps that go faster is a help.

i have only deleted to people from my list but it was not because they have not longed on but for personal reason. one i was getting attacked by and was very rude to me and the second one was posting stupid discussions and could not stand it anymore.

Yes I have done that for a couple of people as well. Do you have anyone that has not been on for over a month. A couple of my friends have not logged on in over three weeks and when I go to my friend list to check out their discussions I believe it would be easier to delete them that way I'm not wasting time if they have decided not to participate.

I recently cleaned out a few of mine. They hadn't logged on in about a month. Maybe you could send them a message that you are deleting them but if they come back you will add them on again.

I have yet to clean up my friend list. My reasons for this are because I never know when one of them might post a discussion that I might be able to help them with. Another reason is that they might be able to help me with a discussion I started. Some day I may find myself thinking about you posting this discussion and being the type that reads EVERYTHING, I'll already have my answer. I realize I didn't give you a real answer to your post, but I do hope I helped you in your decision.

I would wait and see if they return. I haven't really deleted to many myself but I am nly over a month old.

I'm finding that a month not logged in is about the average before cleaning out absentee friends.

I'm not talking about deleting pending friends. I'm asking about the ones that are already on the list and are inactive. They haven't logged in for 3 or more weeks.

Hmmm .. hadn't thought of that. I am just trying to build a huge friends list, and I accept that most will not be regular posters / contributors. It is just human nature. But, for the time they will be online, I'll be happy that they are on my friends list.

If I see that they have logged on and are in my lot I too will keep them on my friend list. It is the ones that haven't even logged into mylot that I'm planning on deleteing.
