my granddaughter's birthday

my granddaughter will be 18 yrs old on jan 20. i have no idea as to what to get her for her birthday. does anyone have any suggestions? i would like your thoughts on this...

You could give her an important piece of jewelry. Like an hierloom. That is what I received my 18th birthday.

That is a very good idea If you dont have an heirloom take a piece of your jewelry and start a tradition

18 is a hard age. does she collect anything? if not then your best bet is to get a gift card for the local mall or her favorite department store.

My first response would of been jewelry, but someone already suggested that. How about a nice digital camera, gift certificate for a day of pampering, keys to a new car (ha ha), honestly how about a nice foot chest that she can use as a hope chest to store blankets and stuff in.

What about a daughters pride ring for her ? i always wanted one of those and my parents NEVER bought me one. my daughter will get one when she's 16 :)
