Is "LOL/lol" the most commonly used internet slang????????????????

I find that its used much more extensively than other acronyms and its quite frequently used in mylot!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL or laugh out laud is an expression. I think its common in chat rooms where this kind of acronyms is popularly being used along with asl, wtf, and gtg. What makes LOL best is that it corresponds a feeling of being happy or jolly. It is the other way if you don't know how to put a wide teeth smiley in every laugh lines given by your pals whether on chatting rooms or in discussion forums like this.

I don't know about that, because I rarely use LOL. I just always use 'brb' when I am chatting with friends, when I need to be away for some time.
