why shud i giv paypal my credit card number..

tht day paypal was asking for my credit card number but i was unable to think why r they asking for tht number...is it safe...who knows i loose more thn i earn..please tell if there is sum other method to get money transfer into my account..du tell

If it was from their secure website then they use it to verify you are 18 years of age or older, AND they will use this as a back up for funding your account. If this was a random email then its a scam and you shouldn't give it. If you were on paypal.com and they asked you for it then I would feel safe giving it to them.
