How can I get my discussions to the todays top discussions list

Everyday I start atleast two discussions but I dont get much responses.I would like to know some ideas on how to get my discussions on this list I always try to get different topics but I dont get to that list.

you need ot find something you are interested in that eveyone else is interested in. Then make a quality post, not just a 4 - 6 word question. Then it's the luck of the draw. If people start answering, be sure to respond to them.

Look at the current trends in discussions. and start some similar ones
