Sometimes as men we just can't seem to get it right even when we try our hardest. Your idea of romance may not be hers. I would encourage you to seek out her perspective perhaps in seemingly unrelated conversations. You would be surprised at what you can learn when you let a woman talk about herself. There is also a book written by one of the stars of "desperate housewives" that relates to the subject quite well.

Different people have different ideas of what romance is. I think that the little things is what matters. I think it is romantic when a man blind folds a woman and takes her to a special place and surprises her. I think its romantic when he gives her flowers from the heart. I think its romantic when he tells her he loves her and means it. I think candle lit dinners are romantic, it also depends on the conversations that go along with it. I think the eiffel tower and paris are romantic. I think that holding hands in new york city in the snow is romantic. There are so many easy things to show romance- and I think a lot of my perception on it is the "classic" romance and chivilry. Treating her like a lady... always a good way to show romance :)

That depends on who you ask. My husband would never eat in a restaurant where blue jeans are not in the dress code. He has no clue what jewelry is and does not sing like Bing Crosby. However, he puts fresh clean sheets on our bed because he knows it is easier for him to do that job than it is for me. He always offers me his arm when it is cold and slippery outside and gives the best spontaneous foot and shoulder rubs ever. That is romantic in my opinion.

being romantic can be as simple as saying i love you and she least expecting it or being huge and extravagant as taking her in a cruiseship, sing her favorite song accompanied by her fav. band or by a choir... but for me simple things cant be beaten by expectacular showing.
