I would say no- Not it my case. My mom is like my best friend.. Every important decision I make I always talk with her about it. DOn't get me wrong I love my dad-- But I'm super close to my mom.. and my sig other is closest to his dad.. I call them both girls- because it is not unusual for them to chit chat on the phone for hours each call.. and we live 15 minutes apart. I believe in some cases it probably is true but not in ours. I would like to think that my daughter is closest to me over her dad... But that might be unfair because she lives with me.
