I've been with my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years. We have a great realtionship and are very happy with each other. We live together, have a dog and the whole bit.
I want to get married and have been dropping hints left, right and center.
He keeps saying "well when we are married" but then turns around and says that he is honestly scared of marriage because of his parent's realtionship (basically living under the same roof but not really togther)
I don't know if should just wait it out, please somebody what should I do???

He is probably scared of a long term relationship. My mother always said don't live together until you have some sort of commitment-either a ring or actual marriage. Why does he want to get married if he already has you under his roof.

I think 2 1/2 years is long spell. But even if he thinks He is not ready for marriage then wait for a year more.But dont waste your time, make efforts to explain him that every married couples dont go in same way. Say him that "Arent we happy together ,then why are you afraid of marriage ,it is just an formality would it affect in our diet, our clothing or our activities....I am gonna do the same things and you are gonna do the same things then what"
