My Mother's Austrailian, has been living here for the past 29 years and still has her aussie accent. She gets out of tickets quite often due to them being in Irish.( which she can understand) but acts tike she can't. She's the only person I know who gets out of them. lol

I can't say that I have a funniest. But my experience with a traffic officer is when I had only had my license for a couple of weeks. I didn't get my license until I was 19 years old. And I was married at 16 yrs and had 3 children already by 18 yrs. So, my husband and I were driving cross country with our three children and since I finally had my license, he wanted me to drive. It was late in the evening and barely any cars on the highway. OK, I can do this. It will help me get used to driving at night and on the hoghway at the same time. Right? Well, my husband asked me if I was watching my speed. And of course I was because the last thing I wanted was a speeding ticket! But just then, a black truck passed me driving really fast! We were in a silver mini van. And next thing I knew, I was being pulled over by a police officer!!! Me!!! I wasn't the one speeding! When the officer told me that I was speeding, I tried to explain that I wasn't the one speeding and a black truck had sped past me. I had only had my license for a couple of weeks and would not risk speeding to get a ticket or with my three kids in the car. Well, he thought I was being disrespectful and arguing with him. So, he told me that he WAS going to give me a warning. But since I wanted to argue with him, he was giving me a ticket that would cost me $200 bucks!!!! Grrrrr I broke out crying! I was crying so hard that when he handed me the ticket, I had to ask him if I could change spots with my husband! I didn't drive the rest of the way cross country! Matter of fact, I didn't want to drive at all for a long time after that! But...many years later...I am driving. :) And I have only received a speeding ticket once after that and did not argue with the man! :)

One time I got pulled over @ 2 in the morning, it was my lunch hour when I worked the night shift. The officer was busy checking my paperwork and checking to see if I had been drinking. I was telling the officer I was sorry for not coming to a complete stop but there wasn't any traffic. He asked me what the hurry was and I said it was my lunch hour and I ws really hungry, and I'm like YEAH, really really hungry and just at that moment my stomeache let out an enorumus growwwwwwwwl. It's waas very embarrassing and funny at the same time. The officer told me get out of here!!! Go eat. LOL
