Are you embarrassed about your work situation?

Whenever people ask me what I do work-wise, it's always a little embarrassing to answer. I don't work, period. I live with my boyfriend and he works.
I'm not saying that I didn't work, in fact I've worked straight from when I was 15 up until two months ago. It's not that I don't want to work, I just didn't want my old job anymore.
Whenever someone, whether online on in real life, asks me what I do for a living, I feel embarrassed telling them that I sit at home all day when my boyfriend works.
Do any of you guys ever feel embarrassed about your current work situation, whether it be unemployed, your job, etc.?

Sometimes I am embarrassed when I tell people that I'm a stay at home mother. I know that I'm doing a good thing being a stay at home mother but sometimes I would like to bring home the money for my husband to be proud of.

I plan on being a stay at home mother, I think that in itself is a full time job.

If people ask you again about your work, then tell them that you are at rest, on a vacation maybe. Don't feel embarassed with the way people ask you about your work situation. Just think that they are like dogs who wants to sniff something from you...

I don't think you should take any embarassmente about your current situation, it's your option and that's all that should matter. As long as you have a caring husband bringing income home and that this matter doesn't constitutes any problem between you both, why should it matter what the rest of the world thinks? I'll also go and wish you luck for wanting to become a full-time home mother, it's not a thing that is seen too much these days anymore, or at least not as much as before, and I agree that it is probably as exhausting as any full-time job of this world would be.
