Have you taken time to customize your profile?

I have noticed that many myLotters aren't customizing their profiles. However, as in all things, when you take the time and effort to present yourself in a professional and/or original way, people respond.
I have seen some of my old discussions that I thought were dead and long forgotten, resurrected by people who clicked on my pic, visited my profile, and decided to respond.
So I am convinced that it's worth your time to customize your profile.
What do you think? Have you done it?

I customised my profile today actually. I think it makes it more interesting to people who visit your profile to see some originality. I think everyone should customise their profile in some way, it's not like it's time-consuming.

I totally agree!
It doesn't take much time or effort (unless you are a perfectionist like me!), and it makes a world of difference.
I actually matched my profile here with my MySpace profile. They aren't exactly the same, but they coordinate.

I have to disagree somewhat, I have tried to read profiles and the colors that has been chosen make it very difficult to read. Filling out your interests and leaving the back ground white is sufficient for me.

Angel makes a good point. I just took someone off my friend's list. Why? Because I wanted to be supportive and find one of her discussions to reply to, but her profile was so loaded with music, animations, and hard to read colors that I couldn't even find her discussion threads. So I hit delete instead.

Yes Ive updated my profile, actually once in a while because of my interests. Like you i think its worth it too because i also believe that people will see your credibility if you take time to fix your profile. Theyll be more convinced to join in and respond to mylot questions too if they see pthers taking time to make mylot a better place for communication with real people.

im new, but habitually the first thing that i do is work on my profile.
i like adding little nutty comments here and there to spread the chuckle.
i like funnies, and i do my best to make my profile light.
so yeah, for whatever reson but a profle should exist, whatever little it may have,because it gives a certain outlook, it makes the 'account' different. it has a hint of a certain person thrown in.

I had used a myspace layout for my profile but I got tired of trying to figure out the breaks in the HTML codes to strip out what I didn't want displayed, like that "free code source" buttons and banners and so I just reset it and settled for glitter text on my otherwise white page.

I have not yet done so, no. I really don't know what, I guess i really should. But I am Just terrible at things like that. Someone do it for me, because I am to lazy haha :)

I customized my profile, but I did it because I felt like it. I wanted it to look good. I didn't do it for other people. Anyway, it's hot pink. Now many people like hot pink. Whenever I'm on a site where I can customize stuff that's related to my account, I usually do it. Out of habit mostly.

I've been on MyLot just for a few days and I add things to my profile little by little. Basically I think that people could get interested in you by what you write. A profile is nothing more than a profile and sometimes you need more time to fill it in.

I am with you its all about what you write about and the content in it that makes people respond or even want to be your friend. Your profile is useful dont get me wrong, its a way for people to get to know you better and what you stand for. So whenever you have a little time just add something to your profile but its the discussions and comments and the people you meet that are really important.

I have seen many on here do a lot with their profiles, and I think sometimes it helps people to be aware of you, and what you are about if you change your profile around. I have also thought people need to have a picture in their of some sort then the head that makes them look like a New member. Just my thoughts.

I havent customized my profile, because before I didnt see the need to do so. If it makes a difference as far as people responding to my discussions then maybe I will do it.

yeah i keep my profile updated n i do give time to customize it....
