Is it me or is this game just exceptionally hard. I can barley make it through one song. I'm practicing but its just almost damn near impossible.. I'm litterally scared to even attempt a song on expert level. It's crazy hard. I've beat easy and medium and you'd think I'd be ready for hard but I'm not lol.

I have a suggestion that could even make you do expert level songs. I just bought the game like a week ago and I can do most parts to expert songs with ease. Hard is almost a joke to me. I'll admit, it is a huge gap from medium to hard but once you know how to play on hard you'll laugh at how easy it really is. I have a technique that I use. First put your index finger on RED instead of GREEN. Now put your preceding fingers on the next frets. This makes it a ton easier! All you have to do when a green pops up just move your index finger a little bit to the green, called a slide by some people. Then just practice that with some hard songs like try JOHN THE FISHERMAN or something like that because thats an easy song to practice on or if you feel confident enough try SWEET CHILD O' MINE and use one of those as your warm up and you will be a guitar hero master soon. Good luck!

yea it definetly is a challenge, normally I'm awesome at video games, I'll have trouble for a while but I get it eventually. I dont feel that way about guitar hero. One thing you may not know about guitar hero 2 when you play muli-player you can pick which part you play : bass, lead, etc. That way both of you play at the same time and not the same thing. The only bad part is you can only do it with multiplayer. I wish you could play whichever part whenever you wanted to but its still cool they added that little feature in huh?

I've been working at this game for a while now, and I've got ten songs left on the expert level to beat. I think Guitar Hero 2 is slightly more difficult than Guitar Hero 1; however, I'm so glad the hammer-ons and pull-offs work better on 2 than they did on 1!

Guitar Hero 2 is definitely more difficult than 1. I didn't really notice the huge difference until I downloaded the 9 Guitar Hero 1 tracks available for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II and got 100% on expert on five of them. In comparison, that's the same number of the Guitar Hero II tracks I've 100%'d on expert, but out of 74 instead of 9.
Of course, in Guitar Hero 1, the hammer-ons and pull-offs were more difficult, somewhat offsetting the easier difficulty of the songs.

The hardest transition to make is the one from medium to hard. Just keep practicing and you'll get good quickly.
