why doesnt the US go to other countries to spread democracy?

I hear that Bush's main reason of going to Iraq was to spread democracy. To me, that is a bag of bull. I think if he "loved" freedom and democracy so much, why didnt he send his troops to somalia and other african nations stuck with Islamic law. And he, why didnt he try to spread democracy in Saudi Arabia?? People, I sense something else is going on. What are ur opinions.
