I would like to know why many indians are interested in web and software programming? Many companies in US and Canada are now hiring indians related to web and software programming because there are many talents people. Anyway, where do you study those things? I know it is at schools but does your government encourage people to study such subjects?

A question that's relatively easy to answer.
The educational system in India is made in such a way that if you do reach university, most study subjects that are sure will provide them with money in the long run. Engineering is one of those, programming is part of engineering.. There's your answer.
You'll see the exact same phenomenom with most Asian-born kids going into medecine or engineering.

THE PAYMENT IS NOT THE ONLY CRITERIA, CAN YOU ENGAGE A CARPENTER FOR YOUR OWN SURGERY? LOL similar to this we indians are very much skilled, this one is the first point , and the second thing is the payment , we are more than happy with 50k rs salary, so companies are mostly hiring indians.

Indian good in web programming???
Hey.. if u think that just making a website using PHP, Perl or ASP is worth.. or making some bussness worlflow are really good .... then forget about good web programming....
I m agree, that indian can do Web programming, and indian companies can make good web sites for being sold, but when the fact come on real challanges of web programming.....I dont think indians are good.
How many indian website really think about security, fast caching, reliabilty of sensitive data ... they are depends upone the software like .NET framework for providing all that stuff.
Indian can do what is easy, and writting HTML is easy.. very simple.
