My cat is about half the wieght of yours, but eats anything just the same. In his older years, he has cut back a little bit on the strange things he actually swallows~bad experiences and tastes I would imagine. But he throws up at least 3-4 times a week because of it, and every vet I've been to has not been able to suggest anything to help it~he's healthier than a whip, they say, so who knows.
He can also imitate a turkey really well when he's hyper and running around.
My other cat, who is a very timid guy, will open cupboard doors when I'm in the next room, then give me the look of "What? I didn't do it!" when I come in the room to see on of the doors open.

Every time I come into the house with bags of groceries, my bigger cat comes and tries to lie down on my feet as I am putting everything away. I am trying to move around in the kitchen, and every time I pause, the cat lies on my feet. Very strange.
Alos - he likes to sleep flat on his back, with his legs up in the air, like a puppy.

That sort of raises the question of "16 pounds of what?"
I'd say you've got a stressed cat there, quite possibly as a result of the diet. If she's not passing the material, you'll need to get her checked.
In answer to your question, cats are weird by definition, that's why we love them. Expect a library from the myLot cat lobby. Oh, yeah, if the wall starts meowing back, you've come to the right place...
