Lets say you met about 15-20 people from mylot and you are in same room. Would you be talking to them like you do here online? would you even bother to speak to them?

There are some, not only would I talk to them, I would greet them with open arms. On paper, I try to be articulate so as to be understood. I don't get a second chance to explain what I meant. In person, I might be a little more tactful in some of my responses simply because I could go into more detail on the subject at hand. Other than that, my opinions would not change and I am all too happy to share them with those who ask for them.

My answer stands. Everyone is unique and people on MYLOT are from all over the world so, of course, they will not look like me and many will not even speak the same native tongue as me. But that is true of many of my neighbors on the street where I live and the church I attend. Our common link here is we are part of the MYLOT family. We have shared opinions and laughs, shown compassion, given advice, and vented our frustration. We've compared medical history, family problems and diets. We've debated politics and religion - the two things that are known to make enemies of the best of friends. Some of the discussions have gotten rather heated, but we've survived it all. Yes, my answer stands.

I don't think it would be difficult at all. Most people here are very friendly and courteous. I think people would be fascinated by the differences we have as well as the things we have in common. While some may be shy, I think the atmosphere would be warm enough for all to join in discussions. Then again, I'm probably a bit of an optimist.
