Yes that is very sure, TV shows are like a drawing in water it will not go deep in to your mind , if you read you will concentrate more on the subject and you can enjoy the subject more. Reading energizes you much...

According to me reading books is better than watching tv in the night as books would provide you with more knowledge than the daily soaps and movies. If you read novel also the stress level of a person decrease rather than watching tv.

Not everyone like reading a book. For me watching tv is more fun than reading a book. But sometimes we need to read books to improve our knowledge

Thats right, reading books gives you a more intelectual grow, but I believe that its all about of balance, there are some Tv shows that really rocks, so what about for every two tv shows you should be reading at list one book?

well obviously reading books is better than watching TV...watching TV for a long time often leads to some problems to the mind and the body...though both are educative Books educate u in a healthy way than TV...the only advantage TV has over books is that if they r able to convey ideas in a better way than the books coz they r able to bring the imagination into live picture

Not Always, Books are enjoyable alright but when you want some entertainment you cant read books. This is where TV comes to your rescue. Sometimes watching tv also eases the mind. I think both the things are balanced. When you want entertainment, TV will help you but when you want to do something alone in quiet peaceful way or dont want to get disturbed there is always the book.

I agree, not that I am opposed to watching television, but I feel your mind is kept much more active if you are reading instead of watching. Reading books engages your imagination whereas I feel if you are just watching tv you are merely following along.

I think both reading books and watching tv will help u to develop your knowledge we can not only gain knowledge by being a book worm we can gain knowledge by watching quiz or some other competitive knowledge gaining programs . now a days group discussions and other programs are helping gain their communication skills and we can gain a lot of competitive triks and confidence by that....

I use to thing books are better than T.V. programs. But after a while you hae to step back and really look at the advantages and disadvantages each has to offer. Books can offer some of the most ingenious imagery and and provoking thoughts of all mediums but in terms of impact value, you must set aside time to really enjoy it. T.V is fast access to information and entertainment but whos value is not based primarily on impact but more shock. Honestly I enjoy both mediums. The perspectives of the different directors and authors are refreshing, especially when your familiar with the issue or stories they convey. It's up to us to use them accordingly. Knowing the schedules or just having a T.V. guide I've noticed is very useful. I believe in moderation both

I believe that reading a book is definately much more beneficial to a person then watching a show is. You actually have to use your imagination and your imagination is a very powerful thing!!!

Honestly, it depends on how much I want to think. I prefer to read, but sometimes I want to just zone out and watch the tube. If I am reading a book that is kind of boring, sometimes it takes a while before I get back to it. Almost like I don't want to. So why finish it? I always think that MAYBE it will get better if I keep reading, although it seldom does! I can't make myself not finish a book I started. It's a quirk I have. :)
