Just wondering how many of us here do recieve or make calls while driving For me I rarely do it. On many occassions, I have had to park and finish the call then back to the road. Sometimes, what we take for granted can be very costly. Take for instance you are on the wheel, you recieve a call that your spouse or someone very dear to your heart passed away all of a sudden. Don't you think that such news is enough to confuse you and make you lose control of the wheel? What if the neews is so nice that you were taken away in an ecstacies and forget you are even on the wheel? I guess it is high time we have a legistilation against phoneing while driving. What have you to say please?

i will talk on the phone while i am driving, but i tend to pay more attention to the road then i do the phone, i will get the "hello are you there" in the middle of the conversation because i was concentrating on the road instead of what they were saying.

Usage of phone while driving will distract the attention of the driver and cause severe accidents. Talking on phone while driving will lead to the driver losing his/her concentration, resulting in major accidents. Non-usage of phones while on wheels, will help curb road accidents and save the driver and pedestrians to certain extent.

I try not to be on the phone and if it looks like I will be on the phone for a while, I put my earpiece on.

Well, I dont have a car to drive in, but... When I am in the car with my mom, she will sometimes get phone calls while she is driving. But, I normally talk on the phone while she is driving so she can keep an eye on the road! And, I think that if people couldn't handle talking on the phone while they are driving...they wouldn't. Just like you, they may just pull over or go into a parking lot if they have very happy or sad news. Either way, I think that some people can handle it, and I don't think they should make it illlegal. What if you need directions?? That would be a great thing to use a cell phone for!! :D

Well phoning or making calls while driving is not allowed in my country they will catch you and fine you so it is not worth it I tell my family if I am doing this to just text me a message so I can phone them back when I stop, that way it is cheaper for them and saves me money from being fined.

It is illegal here in Scotland to be on the phone while driving. You will get points added to your license plus a heafty fine. If you need to ue the phone then it has to be hands free. Get a bluetooth or some device like it. If you don't have a hands free device, then you need to pull over to use the cellphone. I'm glad it is against the law here. In the past I have seen lorry drivers on the phone, scary. I have also seen drivers on the phone try to turn onto another road. They don't have full control of the vehicle.

In the UK it is illegal to use a mobile phone while driving. The only way to use a mobile device in a vehicle is by using blue tooth. Mobile calls are a distraction while driving and are a major cause of accidents. I won't use my mobile in the car.

I have a friend who enjoy talking on the phone while driving. We all warned her not to do that and she's pregnant. A couple of months ago, she had a terrible accident. Her brand new 2 months old car it totally re-shape. The police had to cut her car roof like a sardine can to get her out. Thank GOD, she lucky this time, no serious injured to her nor her baby. It happened within a second after she dialled a simple redial button on her mobile phone. So, people....please, don't drive drunk and don't drive phoned.
