Who should give a treat for dinner, the boy or the girl?

By tradition, it is always the man who spends for a dinner with a woman. Do you think it's fair? Both of you are eating the food and you both , presumably are loving each other. Does it prove that whoever treats for the dinner had a greater love over the partner who is given the treat?

in my case, i always treat my boyfriend when we're going out. it's not really intentional that i end up spending all the time. He's a home buddy type and i have to persuade him for us to be able to go out and have dinner, or watch a movie. He's still a student so it naturally happens to us that i spend more often than he does when we're together. But it's no big deal anymore, he'll be graduating soon so i could have all the shopping spree that i would need in the near future. lol

you said that it is the tradition that man should pay but i think you need to reconsider your statement it was the tradition when only man was doing job and it was only responsiblity of man to bring money.but things havebeen changed now now both man and woman take part in the earning.
it is expected that one who proposed for the treat should pay.means to say that it doesn't matter that you are paying or not the main thing is that dont think it as it is related with your ego.

It depends on the agreement. I had this boyfriend before who seemed so practical that we made an agreement that everytime we will go the expenses should be shouldered by one after the other. It became our routine then.

of course not but it's usually the man who pays everytime they go out maybe because most of the time it's the man who invites the girl out. It's just proper that he pays right?

That is a very modern question I should say. Well, for me it depends on the situation. If the girl said she wanted to dine outside and the man says he doesn't have enough money then the girl can offer to pay if she's got sense and sensibility LOL! Personally, I don't want to always count on the man to pay the bills.
